About This Book:
"A Commentary on The Three Questions of the Grave" is a work that explains and analyzes the notion known as "The Three Questions of the Grave" in Islam. According to Islamic theology, this idea alludes to the questioning that occurs in the grave following a person's death. Shaikh Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab (1703-1792 CE) was a famous Islamic theologian and reformer known for his efforts to reintroduce genuine monotheism (Tawheed) into Islam. The honorific "R.A" stands for "Radhi Allahu 'anhu," an Arabic term used to express respect for deceased individuals, particularly revered scholars and righteous leaders.
According to Islamic tradition, when a person is buried, two angels known as Munkar and Nakir will question them in the tomb.
The three questions are as follows:
What is the name of your Lord?
What faith do you follow?
What is the name of your Prophet?
The answers to these questions will determine the fate of the deceased in the hereafter. Those who respond correctly and genuinely, declaring their belief in Allah's Oneness and Muhammad's (peace be upon him) prophethood, are guaranteed blessings and ease in their grave. Those who do not respond or make wrong responses, on the other hand, may face dire consequences.
